**FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE**

InsideMdSports.com and DTLR (Baltimore) are happy to present the 2nd annual Under Armour I-95 Elite Challenge. Hosted and coordinated by Dwayne Wise, the Challenge pits the best high school basketball players from the D.C. and Baltimore areas against each other in four thrilling games May 2, 2009, at St. Frances Academy in Baltimore.

The game times are as follows:

Class of 2013: 3 p.m.
Class of 2012: 4:30 p.m.
Class of 2011: 5:45 p.m.
Class of 2010: 7:00 p.m.

The I-95 Elite Challenge is proud to team up this year with Baltimore-based Under Armour, one of the nation’s leading apparel companies, to provide top-of-the-line jerseys for almost 90 of the area’s stars.rsmith2

Headlining the 2010 Baltimore roster is 6-foot-8 forward Roscoe Smith (Walbrook, pictured right), ESPN’s eighth-ranked player in the class; Lake Clifton's Will Barton, Scout.com's No. 1 shooting guard; and Syracuse commit C.J. Fair.  They're joined by a pair of electric point guards: Mount St. Joe’s Eric Atkins (22 ppg) and Antonio Barton, both of whom are drawing numerous high Division-I looks. Dante Holmes, a sharpshooting guard from St. Frances Academy who scored 33 points in a win against DeMatha in the Alhambra semifinals, is one of the top juniors in Baltimore.

rossblunckThe 2010 D.C Roster is led by two Big East commitments and two ACC pledges: 6-foot-3 shooting guard Bryon Allen (Oak Hill/West Virginia), 6-foot-2 point guard Markel Starks (Georgetown Prep/Georgetown), 6-foot-5 shooting guard Terrence Ross (Montrose Christian/Maryland, pictured left) and 6-foot-2 point guard Tyler Thornton (Gonzaga/Duke). Two Maryland recruits are also scheduled to participate: 6-foot-6 shooting guard Mychal Parker (TBA) and 6-foot-4 shooting guard Victor Oladipo (DeMatha).

Baltimore’s 2011 squad is highlighted by two up-and-coming post players: 6-foot-8 Greg Lewis (St. Frances) and 6-foot-7 Canadian import Grandy Glaze (St. John’s Catholic Prep). Ronald Williams, a small but quick point guard from St. Frances, will lead the backcourt.

The D.C. counterparts also possess a strong inside presence. Adjehi Baru, a 6-foot-9 forward from Archbishop Carroll, and T. Jordan Omogbehin, a 7-foot-1center from Montrose Christian, counter Baltimore’s post presence. Quinn Cook (DeMatha) and Chris Martin (St. John’s College) are two of the best young guards in the WCAC.

Baltimore’s 2012 roster is highlighted by some of the best rising stars in the Mid-Atlantic. John Crowder (6-foot-7/Towson Catholic), Isaiah Miles (6-foot-7/Glenelg Country), Lionel Greene (6-foot-2/John Carroll) and Daquan Cook (6-foot-2/City College) will give fans a look at the next crop of Baltimore’s top ballers.

Meanwhile, D.C. isn’t lacking star power. It’s led by 6-foot-5 Justin Anderson (Montrose Christian), widely regarded as the nation’s top player in 2012. He’s joined by Marvel Redfearn (6-foot-5/TBA) and Joe Lundy (6-foot-4/Friendship Academy), two names to keep an eye on.

The 2013 game will give fans a chance to scout out future high school stars and one of the best rising eighth-grader in the nation, Justin Jenifer, who was profiled in The Washington Post 2 ½ years ago.
