 We first chronicled Josten Thomas several years ago when Thomas was a sophomore at National Christian Academy. At the time, the Terps were looking at Thomas as well as then-teammate Dante Taylor, now a freshman at Pittsburgh. Several years and several schools later, Thomas has re-emerged as a potential Terps prospect. InsideMDSports.com caught up with the junior college sophomore, who said he would love to play for Maryland.

 Roy Williams signaled for a timeout and slammed his fists against the chair behind him. The raucous students who enveloped the court grew louder by the second, egging on the already agitated North Carolina coach.
Minutes before he had watched his team climb back into the game and cut a second-half deficit to three points. But then, as if Maryland flipped a switch, it went on the game’s deciding run, a 19-5 blitzing that eviscerated any hope of North Carolina leaving snow-covered College Park with a win.

 The makeup of this year’s ACC is strikingly different than last season’s, where guards ruled the league and post players were either young or nonexistent.
Now the premier players are big men, several of whom are projected to be NBA draft picks or to play professionally in the future. From Maryland’s standpoint at the beginning of the season, that shift meant two things.
One, the departures of several star guards would leave the Terps with one of the league’s most senior and productive backcourts. Two, the influx and development of talented forwards would create problems for a green and undersized Maryland frontcourt.

 InsideMDSports.com first reported Maryland’s interest in Lee High (Huntsville, Ala.) junior guard Devin Langford several months ago, but at the time the Terps didn’t seem to be recruiting his teammate and cousin, senior Josh Langford. That, however, seems to be changing.
