GREENSBORO, N.C. – Torrey Smith feels like this summer has been different.  From extra film study to the enthusiasm in drills to the leaner and quicker builds of those around him, Maryland’s junior wide receiver can see a renewed and refined approach.

“I feel like we say we work hard every summer, but there’s been no summer like this one,” he said.

When Seton Hall Prep (N.J) point guard Sterling Gibbs committed to Maryland in late April, it was clear the Terps had landed one of the top rising senior point guards in the region and potential top-100 national prospect. What was unknown, though, was that Gibbs would also turn into a recruiter.

NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. -- The Peach Jam quarterfinals begin tonight, and leading the pack in group play was Team Takeover, which went 5-0 and is the last remaining undefeated team.  While the coaching crowd thinned out on Wednesday, Maryland had all three assistants present.  One recruit they've tracked since his late arrival Tuesday is sophomore standout Justin Anderson, who turned in one of the best defensive performances of the tournament last night.  Click below for that story and more.
